Anglian Water

This term’s theme is “Community Services” and we thought we would start with with a service that we all use every day of our lives – water treatment!  It’s easy to take this service for granted, but imagine not having easy access to clean water – our lives would become a lot more difficult and dangerous.  So how how does clean water reach our homes?  To find out, PLACE families visited the Anglian Water Recycling Centre in Leighton Buzzard.

For many years, Anglian Water has offered an award-winning, community-education programme.  This programme includes taught sessions, resources to assist learning across all ages, interactive games, talks and training for adults.  The programme is designed to help participants understand more about the water industry, how they can help in the recycling processes and why water is so vital to life.
